I have some catching up to do with pictures of high elves and a few other things, but for now here's my latest project, a wraithlord based off the fire dragon exarch w/ fire pike. Maybe I can put pictures inline with photobucket...

Right haven't posted in a while, mostly because I'd misplaced my camera somewhere in the appartment. Anyways, found it, and now I have a bunch of catching up to do in photographing the bugs (the full 1850 is done now, the took best painted at WMC 2010 doubles with Chris' Blood angels, and third best army at DaBoyz GT 2010). Idle hands are no good though, so now that Da Boyz is over I'm already hard at work on my next project. Doing up 1000 points of high elves for WMC 2011, playing doubles with Ricky's brettonians. Check out the test model, tell me what you think :)

This guy is still WIP. Have yet to do the skin and the claws. The carapace and brain are pretty much completed, though I might hit the brain with 1 more highlight once the purple is done depending how things look, and probably also some gloss coat.

Right so I lost track of blogging a bit after warmasters - new semester at school starting up has kept me pretty busy. I guess I should put up a couple pictures of the completed display board in all its glory - I'll get to that once the 1850 list is done. So far I have the original 1000 points, a tyrant, a trygon and a ripper base painted. Left to go are 3 zoanthropes (the first is currently WIP), 2 tyrant guard, 3 ripper bases, 8 termagants and 3 hormagaunts. The aim is to have all this done for DaBoyz GT in a month. It's all assembled now (save the TG which I don't have yet) and primed, so I should be able to get it done. Finishing the tyrant today has restored my faith in my ability to finish this.

Down to 5 days until the tournament and there are 4 gaunts to go. Should be painting the display board tomorrow evening if all goes well, and it looks like Chris is going to finish the angels just in time. Life is good :)

The last walls are up on the board and there's some debris/bitz strewn across it. My objective marker is painted save a last highlight or two on a couple of parts. That leaves 10 hormagaunts in 10 days, and a solid paintjob on the board. Hopefully it will be mostly done by airgun, so it should go fast.

So the ideas in my head on how I want my half of the display board for the nids/angels to look finally percolated enough yesterday to get the ball rolling. I put up some walls and got some bits in place. There's still a lot of work to be done on it (currently seeking out more foamcore...), but at least it's now roughed in. The plan is to put up the bulkhead walls (the gaps you see in the board) and start covering everything in varying amounts of debris to give it more of a derilict sort of feel. I'll also have to rough in the middle section of the long edge - this will be the site of an impact with an imperial ship (where the blood angels are riding).
Other than that I've been keeping up with painting the hormagaunts - there are now 13 left to paint, with 13 days until warmasters. One of these days I'll get some extra time (that I decide not to blow on the display board) and get a couple of extra ones done.
