WMC 40K Challenge FAQ
Fair enough, I just wasn't sure if that was your intention.... so I take it the idea is that a unit maintain control of the marker for the whole turn to disable/sabitage it? I just dislike the idea of a unit being on the marker at the start of the turn, jumping off(possibly towards another marker) and at the end of the turn destroying a marker that they are no longer on(as they were at the start of the turn). That is really my only concern... though again, if that's the intention that's ok, just want to know before I finalize my list. Thanks in advance :)
Hello,
Quick question:
- Can the Valkyrie Assault Carrier Outflank with a unit that cant normaly Outflank
Example:
Valkyrie (special rule: Scout)
Transported unit: Veterans
-----------------------------------
5th edition rules dont say I cant,
But they also dont say I can,
and some players say Yes & some say NO,
Thanks for your time & consideration

GLV, you can have a unit come in from reserves in a non-dedicated land raider on the same reserve roll. If that vehicle is outflanking they are just hitching a ride
(course this is my interpretation and that of the guys on 40kO)
They covered this in the new players guide already.
Hey
Before Posting I checked:
- INAT FAQ v2.2

Another quick question. Do we need army lists and story for the Singles tournament by the 18th as well ?
The FAQ statse the Team doubles needs them in by the 18th but doesn't mention the singles ?
Thanks
The early submission is only for the Doubles Tournament.
You can hand the lists in for the singles tournament in on the day of.

Greg

Ah but without that restriction there...you have two issues:
1) Fast armies can move 24"+ in a turn to pick up points.
2) If it was just a end of turn requirement, you could potentially wipe out an opponent from control/contest during your turn then pick up points without having to sustain your control for that whole turn. This makes it REALLY hard for a less durable or elite style army to compete.
The idea is to make it a little hard to pick up points. This way its more of a chess match. You need to think ahead to determine target prioritization, where and when you need to be with units to control/contest things and which points you can sacrifice to win the overall battle.
We wanted to emphasize the idea that holding objectives is important. Not just last second desperation moves to contest or tank shock someone off an objective to control it.
