Hi,

Just a short question, in the player resource section it mentions that "Players earn Battle Points based on their ranking in their four best tournaments results within a system,"

So final points are based on Attendance over the year + Your 4 best results from the year?

I guess, two questions, do the standing on the player standing pages reflect just each players top 4 places? Or do the stats on the standing page reflect their total for the year including every tournament they have played in?

I would think that it reflects a players overall standing, not the 4 best. Though I cannot say for certain.

Thats what I was thinking but I just wanted a confimation on that. As well as wondering if Warmaster was staying with what they said about sticking with the top 4 results as stated in the player packs?

As for sending an e-mail. I had actually assumed the forum would have been faster since this is the Warmaster forums, I had actually forgot till yesturday that I had asked the question here.

I'm actually not sure but I think the scores listed represent the 'floating' value, i.e. your best 4 scores.

I'm not sure what you mean by the attendance over the year + 4 scores. The benefit for attendance is on a per event basis and factored into your 4 best scores.

I will look into this and follow-up.

IIRC, your score is based off your best 4 performances to date for the year. So, in theory, if you max out your score at 4 large events within the year, going to further events can't increase your score further. I think the idea behind the design was that this way you can't win the league just by showing up to every tournament under the sun - a reasonable commitment to league play (a major event quarterly) is enough to get you top spot if you score well.

Ok, it just seems like there are some tournaments were the one single score more than doubles the scores of say two or even three other "minor" tournaments. Would it be possible, to update the score standings, with 4 columns for each player. I would even do it if you would let me and dont have the time. That would outline each persons top 4 scores. And from what tournaments they came from. I think this would be of great benefit to all, and would allow people to keep track of the number of tourneys attended and the scores to beat on a tournament by tournament basis in order to get an invitation! Maybe even a separate list for those who cant be invited, such as the warmasters bunch, that are running it all like this people can see the actual standings, not in relation to those who can't attend but of those who can and will.

I do love the idea of this system and I am willing to support it in the utmost. There are a few things that can be ironed out, but then again, it is the first year of this new system. If you guys would like any help in regards to this, please let me know and I would ladly lend a hand.

Cheers!

Hey All,

Apologies on the long absence. I was in Japan for a couple weeks on Holiday. Next time I'm gone I'll make sure the Forum stuff gets delegated properly.

To answer the question on the standings. The include only the top 4 tournaments. The maximum score is 400.

It does seem like 1 bigger event can eclipse a smaller event. In the players guide the forumla is outlined.

The points are awarded based upon your finish in the event, with 1st getting the maximum points available, and each person after that gets a decremented amount from the maximum based on the number of players.

o 11 players and under = the maximum points available is 55
o 12 – 20 players = the maximum points available is 70
o 21-36 players = the maximum points available is 85
o 37+ players = the maximum points available is 100

For more detail please see the Players Guide in the Player Resources section of the tournament circuit section.

If anyone has any questions about how their specific score was calculated please fire an email through the site and I'll send you the breakdown of your score.

Ridvan,
My next step for the website is to start building player profile functionality. For that was to keep track of the events participated in and what amount (if any) that event contributes to your over all score. Right now I'm targeting a Christmas release for this functionality. Thank you for the offer though.

Later,
Greg

Fungore,

Earning points on the Warmaster's Tournament Circuit gets you one thing, a chance to qualify for the Warmasters Challenge Invitational Tournament.

We have been working hard with GW and other sponsor's trying to work out the details of this tournament. We will have an announcement soon providing details of why the Invitational Tournament will be a big deal, along with a date for each of the 40k and Fantasy events.

Regards,
Greg
