Hey, after looking at the latest adepticon faq, I saw that the deff rolla is not allowed to use the additional d6 str 10 hits when ramming a vehicle.

Now I don't know if this was different but will this ruling stand? I don't really know the reasoning for not allowing the d6 hits, Dakka forums are rich with poor logic and ad hominum attacks.

My guess is that the Dakka crew that works on the INAT FAQ (the one used for Adepticon), has decided that Tank Shock is not Ramming.

The Deff rolla specifically says its for Tank Shock.

I suspect that the ruling made by Yakface and the crew will stand for the INAT until a clear FAQ answer is released by GW. I have followed the discussions very closely and both sides have very valid arguments as to why the Def Rolla should or should not count when ramming.

For now, the def rolla does not work on other vehicles.

Regards,
Greg

We have had the same discussion on 40kOnline and it generally boiled down to this:

The main confusion came from the fact that in Ramming, it states that it is a special kind of tank shock. But as it is listed as a completely different rule that is where the debate comes from. It says it is a kind of tank shock, but as it is under a different rule heading (ie: It's bolded the exact same as Tank Shock is) it is treated as a completely different rule.

Same debate is had actually with Reinforced Rams allowing tankshock but not ramminf by trukks.

I guess this whole thing is now settled: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m970066a_FAQ_Or...

I would think this is definitive enough.
